Retreat Schedule (Subject to Change)

Friday, August 11

  • 4:00 - 6:00 pm Everyone arrives and gets settled in

  • 6:00 - 8:00 pm Dinner (not provided but hostel includes full kitchen with all cooking amenities)

  • 8:00 - 8:15 pm Welcome message and icebreaker activities

  • 8:15 - 9:00 pm Featured Speaker Emma Kertesz, elite runner and blogger

  • 9:00 pm Hang out/free time until bed


Saturday, August 12

  • 7:00 - 8:45 am Light breakfast provided

  • 8:45 am Head out to Moran State Park for trail run

    • Ruth to lead dynamic warm-up session before run

  • 9:15 - 11:15 am Trail Running: Group 1 will go 5+ miles, Group 2 will go 10+ miles, potentially 3rd group to go longer if there is a demand for it.

  • 11:15 am - 1:15 pm All groups finish run, head back for lunch (not provided), shower, hanging out, etc.

  • 1:15 - 2:00 pm Featured speaker Meghan Lyle, nutritionist

  • 2:00 - 2:45 pm Optional group strength training session

  • 2:45 - 5:30 pm Free Time!

  • 5:30 - 7:30 pm Dinner provided

  • 7:30 - 8:00 pm Featured Speaker Valerie Weilert, athletic shoe designer

  • 8:00 - 8:30 pm Keynote Speaker Ruth Perkins, elite runner and coach

  • 8:30 - 8:40 pm Closing message

  • 8:45 pm Free Time!


Sunday, August 13

  • 7:00 - 8:45 am Light breakfast provided

  • 9:00 - 11:00 am Group runs around Eastsound and Moran State Park

  • 11:00 - 12:30 pm Groups finish run and head back for lunch (not provided), shower, etc.

  • 12:30 pm Group photo! Then time to pack up and head home
